Ans.) If a party is in possession of the best evidence relating to the issue involved, it is his duty to produce such evidence. If he fails to produce such evidence, then an adverse inference may be drawn against such party. If a person is in possession of an original registered deed relating to a plot of land, it is his duty to produce the same or an adverse inference may be drawn against such party.
